Hi Friends and Family, Chris Schultz was a close friend of mine and has been an integral part of this ride for many years. Chris not only used his woodworking craftsmanship to build great awards, he found a way to raise several thousand dollars each year for a great cause. He has been so instrumental that he was chosen to "play Santa Claus" and helicoptered down to the Havasupai village and handed out toys to the kids.
I met Chris at this ride over 12 years ago and have created a bond with 8 of his closest friends. We have ridden together all over the US and Canada. Chris was the glue that brought us all together and kept us together. Unfortunately, Chris lost his battle with cancer in March. To honor Chris, the man, the craftsman, the parent, the husband and the friend, we have created #SchultzStrong jerseys and all of us will be riding this year to honor Chris and support Marine League Charities.
The picture you see is part of the group on a ride at the top of the "Lord of the Squirrels" trail in Whistler, Canada in 2019. That same group will be riding there in 2022 to spreads Chris's ashes at one of his favorite areas and an epic trail. This shows his deep love for his friends and mountain biking.
On behalf of Chris and my other friends, I sincerely appreciate your support for this fundraiser and my goal. Together, I am hoping we can raise the kind of money Chris would do by himself. You can donate now by hitting “Give Now” on the upper right.
You can give with any major credit card and it only takes 30 seconds. I appreciate it so very much.
Thank you for joining me! #SchultzStrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
