It was Cycling for Sight (CFS) in 2005 that inspired me with the idea of building a bicycle club for people who are blind or visually impaired. Little did i know that attracting, mentoring and sustaining blind cyclists would not be the most interesting thing about the Blind Stokers Club (BSC). The real prize are the many friendships and cycling partnerships created under the BSC-CFS umbrella!
The photos above represent 13 years of joy on this journey. I'm certain that i have received more than i have given, and i plan to keep on receiving.
My stoker this year is Rocky Camp - on his first Cycling for Sight adventure!
Your tax deductible donation will stay in San Diego, to provide training and counseling to blind and vision-impaired adults in the region. A portion of each dollar will enable more BVI people to enjoy the simple pleasures of riding a bike. You can help build independence in living, and also foster team relationships in sport.
