The past two years I have had the opportunity to guide a teen at the Spring Sprint Tri in San Diego. I have now been given the opportunity to captain a tandem at Cycling for Sight at the end of June. This is a two day event with about 90 miles of riding. I've known the organizer for years and I'm so happy to finally be able to participate. The Blind Stoker's Club is the force behind both of these. Because of their efforts many people who wouldn't otherwise are able to experience the joy of cycling. Cycling brings me so much happiness and I love knowing that participating in this fundraiser will help bring that to so many more people!
Cycling friends, please consider signing up for either the Captain Ride (the Saturday ride) or the Stoker Rider (the Sunday ride) and join me on the road! Cycling for Sight
Your tax deductible donation will stay in San Diego, to provide training and counseling to blind and vision-impaired adults in the region. A portion of each dollar will enable more BVI people to enjoy the simple pleasures of riding a bike. You can help build independence in living, and also foster team relationships in sport.

Such a cool way to use your athletic abilities to give back to the endurance sport community.
