Hi Friends and Family, I am partnering with San Diego Center for the Blind and raising money for the 18th Cycling for Sight 2022. I sincerely appreciate your support for this fundraiser and my goal. You can donate now and by hitting “Give Now” on the upper right.

You can give with any major credit card and it only takes 30 seconds. I appreciate it so very much.

There are many answers to the question of why this event is so meaningful. To start off, I take a little trip down memory lane, and I hope you all enjoy taking it with me. When I was ten, so 8 years ago, I wanted to be on my elementary school's cross country team. My family was one--hundred percent on board with the idea, and I signed up. After my first meet, I was featured on the local news. For a while, I was on newscasts, and in newspapers, throughout my town and across the nation even seeing the documentary in Africa and Spain. But the event that truly started my journey was a documentary that my local news station made about me. It was shown in my town, and across the state. The documentary was viewed by a group of truly amazing people down in San Diego. In the newscast, I'd said my dream was to do a Triathlon. These people made that possible. When me and my family went to San Diego the first time, we met many great people, including members from the Blind Stokers Club. After that first race, I've gone on many adventures with the club. I've done two bike rides with them, and seen two amazing places. BSC has helped me find tandom captains for races, and let me meet some truly wonderful people. Going to this event will only strengthen my love for this group and for what they do. Its truly wonderful that this club gives blind people like me the chance to go to these events. I love tandom cycling and the freedom it gives me. "Oh the places we may go", with this club and in our lives.

We are so glad that many BSC members who have not met you or know your story will get to spend a Cycling for Sight weekend with you, after HS graduation, and before you embark on other summer activities.
