Hi Friends and Family,
“I almost forgot that I have cancer,” said my husband
several months before he died. Due to the removal of lymph nodes and subsequent cancer treatments, lymphedema to his lower extremities had become so uncomfortable and debilitating that for him, it was almost worse than the cancer itself.
He was lucky that he had good health insurance, according to his physical therapist, because, every form of treatment that was available... retrograde massage, lymphedema therapy, lymphedema pumps and compression garments were covered. Unlike a lot of patients who have to do without maximum therapeutic benefit because, their insurance does not cover extensive lymphedema treatments and will only pay for the most basic form of compression supplies.
I am partnering with Lymphatic Education & Research Network and raising money for 2019 DC Walk & Rally to Fight LE & LD. I sincerely appreciate your support for this fundraiser and my goal. You can donate now and by hitting “Give Now” on the upper right.
You can give with any major credit card and it only takes 30 seconds. I appreciate it so very much.
Thank you for joining me!
