EPIC’s Missions Team Members will work with our sponsored community, the Comunidad Ladrillera (Brickyard). Our mission’s team will work directly with our sponsored Tarahumara children. The focus of the trip will be to build relationships in our community.

About This Campaign

EPIC Community Church’s Mexico Short Term Missions Team will partner with LightShine, a ministry with a heart to reach the Tarahumara Indians. The Tarahumara are an un-reached people group who reside in the Sierra of Central Mexico. They are an incredibly resilient and peaceful culture who pride themselves on their running ability. As proud as they are, they are also a people without hope, as many struggle with high infant mortality rates, rampant child abuse, alcoholism, discrimination, and segregation. LightShine brings the hope of the gospel through children’s programs that meet the needs of Tarahumara families who live in poverty- stricken slums in the city of Chihuahua, Mexico.
