Hi Friends and Family,
I don't have clever photos of me on a bicycle, but a scrambling, uphill climb on a rough section of dolomite rock could be compared to what a lot of homeless people on the streets of Chicago face every day, only without the support of steel cables. To make a difference in their lives, I'm riding in the 2017 Endurance Ride on Saturday, June 10. This will be my 12th time participating in this event. I sincerely appreciate your support for this fundraiser and my goal of riding 100-150 miles and raising $3,000. You can donate now by selecting “Give Now” on the upper right. You can give with any major credit card and it only takes 30 seconds.
Here are some more specifics: the Endurance Ride (ER) is a bike-a-thon to benefit the work of Emmaus Ministries and, new this year, Selah Freedom. Both organizations work on the streets of Chicago, helping people achieve freedom from survival prostitution and human trafficking. The ride begins and ends at the Christian Brothers La Salle Manor Retreat Center in Plano, IL.
All sponsorships go directly to help the work of either Emmaus Ministries or Selah Freedom. Unspecified sponsorships will go toward sponsoring men from Emmaus who ride in the Endurance Ride.
