Hi everyone, after several years and countless physicians, I was diagnosed with secondary Lymphedema when I was 19 years old. For Lymphedema patients, this diagnosis is not only physical, but also emotional. After eight long years, a PTSD diagnosis, and an anxiety disorder diagnosis, I am finally proud to be on my own two feet fighting Lymphedema head on. Accessibility to medical treatment, including but not limited to compression garments, MLD therapy, and antibiotics to fight cellulitis, is imperative for the maintenance and prevention of the progression of Lymphedema. We need to stand and fight together to raise awareness, funds for medical research, and a cure. Until then, we just have to keep trying to live Lymphie Free ❤
