Hello friends and family!

My name is Samuel Dawson, formally known as "Coach Slam." This summer, I am once again interning with the SoCal Shepherds (a Fellowship of Christian Athletes division) to be a coach involved in the FCA Summer Baseball Camps! My role as a coach will be to develop kids of ages 5-12 in their baseball skills and their knowledge of God and the Bible! This internship will train me in many areas of leadership, including how to teach the kids about Christ and baseball, how to lead by example, and much more!

For those who don’t know, FCA is a global non-profit organization geared towards the fusion of sports and Christ. This past summer and winter, I was blessed with the opportunity to serve in this ministry. Still to this very day, I look back and cherish every moment from that summer and winter. One of my favorite moments came from my camper Colin this past winter when I asked him what it’s like believing in Jesus, and he answered, “It feels like home.”
