I checked back here this morning to see how my Fundraising Goal was doing, and HOLY COW you GUYS!!!!   Thank you for the support Eileen, Mike, Aaron & Raisa!!  You just put wind beneath my wings.  It has been challenging to even complete my Urban Hikes in Sacramento/ Truckee.  The smoke from all of the active fires is a shroud over us all here in Cali.  I am trying to stay positive though, and look ahead to next season, where there may be less fires because everything burnt already!  lol  At least I am raising funds that will benefit cancer survivors--that is the BEST PART of this journey--knowing that YOU and I have helped someone recover from cancer in a way that restores their independence and improves their quality of life!

Special Thanks to Rocco!!  I am now 1/5 of the way to my goal of $500!  Thank you so much!!  YOU are making a BIG difference in a cancer survivor's life!  This past week, I had the privilege of "urban hiking" in the Tahoe National Forest.  WE had a few bears in the neighborhood, so I had to be extra alert--I didn't want to startle a Mama and her cubs.  This week I am back in Sacramento, so it's back tho the scenic byway!

Special Thanks to Heather for her donation!!  That makes me already at 10% of my goal of $500!!  Together we are helping Survivors recover from cancer treatment in the safety of their own homes with Triumph Fitness and equipment from Triumph On The Go!!  I wonder who will donate next?

I reached my goal of 10 miles last week as the gang hiked to Shealor Lake!  This week I hope to go 15 miles total ans I ratchet up my daily goal to 3 miles per day.  HIKE WITH ME!!  You can track your miles through a fitness tracker and show me your lovely pictures too!  I post each week on Facebook and would love to see you there too.  :)  CM
