In 2014, my Grandma, Mary Melnyk, passed away while in hospice in Western New York. Words cannot describe how the hospice nurses and staff helped my Grandma and my entire family understand what was happening and most importantly, allowed us to spend time together as a family instead of figuring out how to best manage my Grandma's care . I am participating in the Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk's (VNSHS) 19th Annual Run for the Health of It on May 11th in honor of my Grandma Melnyk. This event will support Hospice House. I hope you will join me in supporting this important cause!
