Aloha Friends and Family,
I am partnering with Hawaii Bicycling League and have chosen to Fundraise for Zach's Vision as part of the upcoming Zachary Manago's Ride in Paradise. The ride is a 47 mile cycling and trail hike on the Northshore of Oahu, around Kaena Point and cycling from Kaena Point to Honolulu. The ride combines cycling and trail hiking (carrying my bike at times) on Saturday, July 13, 2019.
Zach's Fund supports advocating for safer streets and educating drivers and riders alike how to be safe on the road making Hawaiʻi's roads safer for everyone whether riding, driving or walking.
The fund raiser is in memory of Zachary Manago, a promising HPU student, baseball player, and avid cyclist who was killed on December 17, 2010 while on a bike ride around Oahu. He was riding on the road shoulder with proper equipment and lights when struck by a hit and run driver. Zach was passionate about safer bicycling facilities and wanted to make Hawaii safe so more people could bike. This ride is to honor Zach and each year the Manago family and friends volunteer to make this event happen each year! Click on the video to see and hear Zach's parents have continued to honor Zach by sponsoring this memorial ride.
I sincerely appreciate your support for this fundraiser and my goal. You can donate now and by hitting “Give Now” on the right.
It only takes 30 seconds, and all major credit cards are accepted. I am grateful for your support. If you are local (Oahu Hawaii) and you don't want to use the website and want to contribute, you can give Denise or I a check or cash and we can make the donation for you.
Mahalo for joining me, remember me in your prayers on July 13th as I make the 47 mile ride! You can also help me by forwarding this e-mail to anyone else you know who might we willing to help me in this fund raiser.
