We were all disappointed that we could not hold our Pancake Day in March. However, we have an exciting alternative way to support Habitat this year! The Women of West Market Church are joining forces with other Greensboro women for the Women Build 2019! We will have many different ways to serve. For those who would like to work on the site, we will work under the guidance of construction professionals and alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners. Whether you're learning new skills or simply adding a few to your tool belt, this is a rewarding experience for all involved.
Everyone deserves a decent place to live. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro has been building and renovating homes in Greensboro since 1987. Since that time, Habitat has helped house over 480 families.
Women volunteers have been picking up hammers and building with Habitat for 30 years! Now it's time for women from all walks of life to come together in Greensboro...to serve their community...to build a home for a Habitat homeowner family...to build stronger communities...to build hope...Every one needs a place to call home.
Habitat homeowners are hard-working low-income families who need a hand up, not a handout. Each homeowner must work 250 hours of sweat equity and attend home ownership education classes. Habitat homeowners purchase their homes and pay a monthly mortgage payment at 0% interest. Habitat guarantees that homeowners pay no more than 25% of their monthly income for housing.
Join us as we transform the life of a Greensboro family!
