Human trafficking IS happening across the United States. Maryland is one of the top areas for human trafficking with 115 cases reported during 2017 according to the National Human Trafficking Resource Center. International airports and major interstate highways bring tourists by the thousands, while extremes of wealth and poverty that meet in mega-malls, arenas and casinos provide the venue, demand and opportunity for the sale of persons! There is hope for our communities. Maryland is making progress in fighting this insidious crime, but more work is needed. You can make a difference.
