Friends and Family,
Hello. Thank you for reading about the 2019 Tour de Force, NY ride I will be going on in honor of fallen officers families. Unfortunately this year it is very personal.
On June 2, 2019 the Volusia County Sheriff's Office along with the citizens of the great State of Florida lost one of its own, Deputy Frank Scofield. Frank was a giant of a man, he was honorable, respected, loved, a Navy Veteran, a father, a husband and to the rest of us, he was a friend. I met Frank on my first ride two years ago. Without a doubt, he was a man they you instantaneously liked. There was no doubt, once you met Frank and he accepted you, you became like family.
On that Sunday, I saw the Law Enforcement family come together and support this great man in what turned out to be the first day in a long time I cried. I cried for his family, I cried for his Law Enforcement family, I cried because our earth lost one of the most honorable men I have ever met. It was a sad day. Heaven gained a true angel!
This year, along with the Sheriff of Volusia County as well as many of the men and women who called Frank friend, we ride in his honor as well as all the men and women of Law Enforcement that gave their all. Will you help me with a small donation in his honor to one of the causes he loved the most, the Tour de Force?
If you feel led, you can donate now by clicking on the "GIVE NOW" button on the top right of the page. Your support truly means the world to me as I ride this year in honor of my friend, Frank Scofield. You are missed Frank but you will never be forgotten!
