29TH ANNUAL HOOFIN' IT FOR HIGH HORSES

Benefit Trail Ride & Walk-A-Thon

10.16.22 | Woodstock, Vermont | 9am - 2pm

Hoofin' It is an outdoor, family-friendly event for both humans and horses raising essential funds to support the equine-assisted therapeutic programs at High Horses in Sharon, Vermont.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 this year! Will you help us?

This year, Hoofin' It returns to one of our favorite locations in Woodstock, Vermont--a region renowned for its beauty and amazing trails! Our hosts and dear friends of High Horses, Jill and George Helmer, invite you to the miles and miles of George's expertly maintained trails throughout the couple's private property on South Perry Road. This is a rare treat!

More than just a fun ride or walk in the countryside, with every step and every dollar raised this fall through Hoofin' It, you're helping to make life-improving opportunities possible for family, friends, and neighbors with unique needs through a therapeutic equine experience year round at High Horses.

Since 1993, High Horses has provided a safe, beneficial and fun equine-assisted therapy program for people of all ages in our greater Upper Valley community. At our farm, barriers are removed, meaningful relationships are formed, and healing happens, with a lot of joy along the way.

There will be no minimum entry fee to participate in this year's event but we respectfully ask each individual participant or family/group unit to consider setting a goal of $200 to be raised through family, friends and peers. Special Incentive: All participants who pledge to raise $250 or more will receive their own Hoofin' It for High Horses hobbyhorse to keep and use that day.

For Virtual Trail Riders or Trail Hikers: Not able to join us in-person, but still want to participate? Do so at a location and time of your choice! Past virtual participants have joined from all over, including Colorado, New Jersey, Nova Scotia and Sweden. Virtual rides or walks can happen anytime between September 1- November 1, 2022.
