Hi Friends and Family, 

I am reaching out to you because I am partnering with Vox Femina Los Angeles to raise money for VOX Femina's "Social DistantSing" Fundraiser. For those of you that don't already know, VOX Femina is an incredible women's choir of Los Angeles that has been around a little over 20 years. And this year, I have have been very lucky to sing alongside some pretty kick-ass and talented women as a Soprano 1 in VOX.

Although it is only my first season in VOX Femina, I have already been so privileged to a world of musical opportunities. Some of which include, performing at The Greek Theater, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Los Angeles LGBTQ Center, singing transformative works accompanied by extraordinary visuals by Jocelyn Hagen and have formed incredible bonds with so many eclectic, talented and open-hearted women. VOX Femina has not only expanded my love of music but has introduced me to the sisters I never knew I had. 

Unfortunately, due to the devastating effects of COVID-19, our 2019-2020 season has been cut short. In efforts to adhere to social distancing guidelines, our usual Tuesday night rehearsals now take place through Zoom...something that I'm sure we all now have a love/hate relationship with. For those of us who are singers and/or sing in choirs, we can all agree that singing in a "Virtual Choir" has been an interesting transition. But it is for our minds, our bodies and our little singing souls, that VOX does anything in its power to keep this amazing choir going.

As I have just graduated from University, Vox Femina has truly given me such a soft and sacred place to land. Music is so personal and it has been such a gift to be apart of a group of women that recognize that. For that reason, it is so important that a choir like VOX Femina is given the support to continue for many years to come.

In efforts to keep Vox Femina going, I am asking for your help. VOX deserves a future. I know these are unsure times, where the "future" seems even more unknown than ever. But if you have the ability to donate to a cause, your donation would be so precious to VOX Femina.

I am pledging to run/walk 80 MILES between April 21st and May 5th, all from the safety of my own home or while adhering to the social distancing rules put in place. I'll be keeping you guys posted with pictures (mask on, of course) and updates of my mileage every couple of days. I would sincerely appreciate your support for this fundraiser and my goal to help this organization that is so important to me.
