Hi Friends and Family, Memorial Day is a couple weeks behind us. But helping and honoring those who serve should be more than a once a year thing. So if you are looking for other ways to support first responders, please keep reading.
I am partnering with Tour de Force Bike Ride - Cycling for those that made the ultimate sacrifice! and raising money for 2019 Tour de Force Memorial Ride. The Tour de Force was founded in 2002 as a memorial bicycle ride to honor the victims of 9/11. It has evolved into a four day, 275 mile ride, in which over 300 law enforcement officers from across the U.S. and abroad, along with some family and friends, participate to raise funds for the families of law enforcement officers and First Responders killed in the line of duty. The Tour de Force's dual mission is to honor the victims of 9/11 by keeping their memory alive through cycling events and to raise funds, to benefit the families of police officers/First Responders, who were killed in the line of duty, each year, nationwide, making the ultimate sacrifice. The Tour de Force is a registered 501©3 charity with the IRS
I’ve participated in several rides and will be riding again this fall with my brother, who is a Police Officer in Miami Beach. I almost lost my brother in the line of duty in 1992, so needless to say, being able to participate in this event alongside my brother is very meaningful to me. This years ride will be from September 6 – 9 and will go from Yankee Stadium in NY to Fenway Park in Boston.
Last year there were 163 officers killed in the line of duty. In 2018, the Tour Deforce raised over $500,000 and was able to help out 43 grieving families in need. the My goal is to raise a minimum of $2000 for this years ride. If you can support me in any way, please log onto my individual registration page and make a donation.
For those of you who do not want to make an on-line donation, you can send me a check or send it directly to the organization with instructions to apply it to my account. Checks can be sent to 2019 Tour De Force P.O. Box 395, Washingtonville, NY 10992
Thank you for joining me!
